There will be lunchtime music sessions in town centre pubs and cafes. They were very popular last time so it’s worth booking a table for lunch to guarantee a place. Those described as “sessions” are open to all musicians, for more information please email us. The dance programme will give all musicians time to join those sessions.

Cafe Grounded: (M4 on map) is hosting a French session and is right by one of our dance venue at the Weaving Shed. Grounded has a fantastic position overlooking the river and town bridge. They are dog friendly and actively encourage families to visit with baby-changing facilities and games, toys and colouring-in books. BIG menu here. They will be visited by our giant Jack In The Green during the day.
The Dandy Lion: (M5 on map) is hosting an Old Time Appalachian session. The Dandy Lion is a welcoming and cosy pub serving a great selection of drinks and fresh homemade food (menu here). Check out the comfy settees upstairs. They have a great selection of food and drink and are a children and dog friendly pub with a selection of family games.
Il Ponte: (M3 on map) will have Gary Millhouse, the fantastic Spanish Guitarist from 12 till 3pm They are an Italian restaurant and cafe with the best outlook in town right on the Town Bridge and next to one of our dance locations. a menu that encompasses the very best of the Italian regions. You will find all of your favourite dishes here and they pride themselves on using only the finest local ingredients. Menu here.
The Stumble Inn: (M6 on map) has Nashville Skyline, two acoustic singer guitarists playing a mix of American songs. The Stumble inn is a friendly traditional local pub where you can relax without canned music, pool tables and fruit machines and just enjoy the banter. They are family run and specialise in well-kept real ales from around the local region as well as craft beers and quality wines and spirits. Children and dog friendly
The Swan Hotel: (M7 on map) is hosting an English session and is one of our dance venues. They will also have a pagan arts and crafts fair – a must see. The Swan has the character and charm of an old country inn with a popular bar and rather uniquely, a Thai Restaurant, with authentic Thai food all freshly prepared by their Thai chefs, which is served alongside a more traditional pub classics menu. The Three Horseshoes: (M8 on map) will have The Mutineers blues band playing live from 2pm. They have another live band on Saturday evening . All you need to know about the Horseshoes is – “Brilliant pub, great music, great welcome, great atmosphere, great beer”.
Timbrell’s Yard: (M1 on map) is hosting our Irish/Scottish session. It is next door to the St Margaret’s Hall concert venue and will be visited by our giant Jack In The Green during the day. They are a proper pub with the heart of a ‘local’, stocking regional craft beers, West Country ciders and carefully chosen wines. Dog friendly. They serve snacks straight from the kitchen, or you can tuck into the full restaurant menu. Menu here.
